The Retreat Guesthouse offers accommodation bookings through its website. These bookings allow guests to secure rooms directly with the guesthouse under the terms and conditions outlined below.
SELF-SERVICE BOOKINGS
As a self-service platform, it is your responsibility to ensure that all booking information you provide is accurate and complete. Before finalizing your booking, you must assess whether the accommodation meets your needs. While our team may assist you in the booking process through various communication channels, it remains your responsibility to verify the accuracy of all details before confirming your reservation.
DIRECT BOOKINGS WITH THE GUESTHOUSE
When you make a reservation using The Retreat Guesthouse’s website or services, your booking is directly with The Retreat Guesthouse. Any recourse or concerns regarding your stay should be directed to us. We are always ready to assist in resolving any issues you might experience during your stay.
RATES AND PRICES
All rates displayed on our website are subject to change without notice. Rates shown outside of a formal quote are for guidance only. A booking confirmation provided through the website constitutes a formal offer, subject to room availability.
While The Retreat Guesthouse endeavors to maintain accurate pricing, occasional errors may occur. If such errors are discovered, we reserve the right to adjust pricing even after payment has been received. You will be informed of any pricing discrepancies, and where necessary, arrangements will be made.
RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE GUEST
As the guest, it is your responsibility to:
- Ensure all booking details, including the number of guests and any special requests, are accurate.
- Understand the requirements for a safe and enjoyable stay, such as special bedding or access to facilities.
- Provide prior notice for any additional guests, including children, to avoid additional fees.
Please ensure that all necessary travel documentation (if applicable) is in order, including valid identification or payment confirmation for check-in.
SUPPLIER TERMS
The terms and conditions of The Retreat Guesthouse apply to your booking. Please familiarize yourself with these terms before completing your reservation. For any clarification, feel free to contact us before finalizing your stay.
R250 REFUNDABLE BREAKAGE DEPOSIT
A refundable breakage deposit of R250 will be charged upon check-in. This deposit will be refunded to you within 7 days of check-out, provided no damages are incurred during your stay.
CANCELLATION POLICY
All bookings are non-refundable unless otherwise stated during the booking process. In the event of cancellation, any refunds will be processed based on our stated policies at the time of booking. If a refund is granted, the amount owed to you will be refunded within 7 days, less any applicable fees or charges.
Should any booking or room become unavailable after payment has been made, The Retreat Guesthouse will strive to find suitable alternatives or assist in recovering your payment.
CREDIT CARD PAYMENT AND OPTIONS
Payment at The Retreat Guesthouse may be made using Visa or MasterCard credit cards. All transactions are conducted in South African Rand (ZAR). We use secure payment methods to ensure your credit card details remain safe. All transactions are processed via PayGate (Pty) Ltd (www.paygate.co.za), and credit card details are not stored on our system.
LIABILITY AND DISCLAIMER
The Retreat Guesthouse will not be held responsible for any direct or indirect losses arising from:
- Use of this website or its services.
- Unavailability of rooms or services.
- Inaccuracies in booking information provided by guests.
- Any damage, loss, or theft incurred during your stay.
You are encouraged to consider appropriate travel insurance to cover any unforeseen circumstances such as illness, injury, cancellations, or loss during your stay.
PETS, SMOKING, AND OTHER POLICIES
The Retreat Guesthouse enforces a strict No Pets policy and all rooms are designated as Non-Smoking. Violation of these policies may result in penalties or loss of the refundable breakage deposit.
DISSATISFACTION
If you experience any issues during your stay, please contact us immediately so that we can rectify the situation. Any complaints must be lodged before checkout to ensure timely resolution.
LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
In the unlikely event that The Retreat Guesthouse is found liable for any damages or loss, such liability will be limited to the amount you have paid for your stay.
